Dr. Gasp!

Do you distaste the flavor of wax lips? Throat sore from cackling like a phantom? Well... don't lose your head! Haunting can be daunting... and to be Frank; a pain in the neck! This season leave all the ghoulishness to that maniacal minstrel... Doctor Gasp! Beneath the mask of this phantom is a New England folk musician Dan Blakeslee with his unique bag of all original songs of Halloween oozing with tales of vampires and ghastly creeps.

Blakeslee's songs are a throwback to old-time cult horror themes, giving nods to Bobby Pickett (Monster Mash), Alfred Hitchcock, John Zacherle, the cavernous voice of Paul Frees with a little Tom Waits drizzled over the top. Each October that unexpected spectacle Doctor Gasp rises from the shadows delivering an earful of eerie for the young, old and immortal! This October marks the 14th anniversary of Doctor Gasp haunting the land with his traveling spook show. Some brand new chilling morsels will be unveiled in celebration. So when autumn leaves fall if a fright is what you crave, seek out this ghoul for the Doctor is in... SANE!

Music and Lyrics by Leslie Bricusse & Anthony Newley
Adapted for the Stage by Leslie Bricusse & Timothy Allen McDonald
Based on the book Charlie and The Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl

The delicious adventure of the world-famous candy man and his quest to find an heir comes to chocolate-covered life in this captivating stage adaptation of Roald Dahl’s fantastical tale. Featuring the enchanting songs from the 1971 film starring Gene Wilder, as well as all new songs by Leslie Bricusse (Jekyll & Hyde, Doctor Dolittle) and Anthony Newley, Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka is a scrumdidilyumptious musical guaranteed to delight everyone’s sweet tooth.

Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka follows the enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding five golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whoever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of chocolate. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats, while the fifth is a likeable young boy named Charlie Bucket who takes the tour in the company of his amiable grandfather. Tristan Omand

Tristan Omand's hard-learned brand of folk songwriting is brimming with stories of offbeat characters, road-worn personal experience, and a healthy dose of subtle humor to even things out. His acoustic guitar style sets a sparse backdrop to distinctly American songs and stories, and his approach to lyricism owes as much to John Steinbeck as to John Prine.

Based out of New Hampshire, Tristan currently has four solo albums available, including his latest released in April 2016, entitled The Lesser-Known Tristan Omand. His busy schedule and the curious ache of wanderlust has resulted in unforgettable experiences from countless regional shows and nearly a dozen tours of the east coast.

Zombie Bike Ride

Join iUGO Nashua on October 15th for the inaugural Nashua Zombie Bike Ride! From 2 PM to 5 PM, the witching hour doth approaches as the Undead will ride and peddle the streets of Nashua! We plan to start close to the garages and parking lots with an hour + of Zombie preparations in the parking lot of the old District Court House. Make-Up artists will be on hand to make sure you look your ghoulish best, zombie bike decoration preparation is encouraged, and we might even have a couple zombie inspired performances! Once preparations are complete, we’ll take to the streets on our bikes for a Zombie Bike Ride parade through downtown Nashua! This ride is intended more as a leisurely bike ride than a race, and families are invited to all join in the fun! If we don’t have at least one zombie baby then this isn’t a true zombie bike ride!

WHAT IS A ZOMBIE BIKE RIDE?

A Bike Ride with Zombies, duh… A zombie bike ride is a family friendly, casual and fun ride where participants dress up like zombies and show off their ghoulish best as they parade around the downtown area. Our ride is inspired by the famous Key West Zombie Bike Ride, but will take a decidedly Nashuan turn as it coincides with Nashua Art Walk Weekend, and draws upon all we have to offer here in New Hampshire.
