Sussy-Rose Shields began as a silversmith in a turquoise shop in Oklahoma in 1975 and has been a juried member of the League of NH Craftsmen since 1988. Her art background and sense of adventure turned her self-taught skills into a passion that has lasted a lifetime. Sussy’s work explores movement, playfulness, texture, and shape using mixed metals and techniques chosen to echo patterns of the world around us. She has a great love of teaching metalwork to others, and holds classes and workshops in her studio. Sussy’s work can be found in personal collections throughout the US, Europe, Scandinavia, and Japan.
