2011 GREELEY PARK ART SHOW

The Nashua Area Artists Association presents the 58th Annual Greeley Park Art Show featuring outstanding artists from the Nashua area and across New England. The Greeley Park Art Show is a summer tradition in Nashua since the early 1950s, this show is in fact the oldest annual outdoor art show in New England. Artists will be exhibiting their artwork on Saturday, August 20th and Sunday, August 21st from 10:00-5:00 at Greeley Park on Concord St in Nashua, NH. There is no charge for attending the show. There is plenty of parking and public transportation available.

Artists will be displaying their artwork in diverse mediums such as oils, acrylic, watercolors, pastels/drawing, mixed media, jewelry, photography and digital art. Works vary in price range from under $20 to over $1,000.

Saturday will feature the adult art competition for participating artist and Sunday will feature the student art competition. Young people from ages 6-18 are welcome to enter their best art work. All works will be on display after the judging.

Both days will offer a variety of other attractions, including George Parker-strolling musician, and Teresa Moler-puppet master. Robin Rapture will bring us more excitement when she introduces us to Hoopium on Sunday.

People will be able to purchase tickets during the show to benefit the scholarship fund. Donated art works from the artists and gift certificates from area merchants will be raffled off on Sunday afternoon. 100% of the proceeds go directly to the Nashua Area Artists’ Association Scholarship Fund. The Unitarian Universalist Church matches the NAAA scholarship funds with the Calvin Libby Memorial Scholarship Fund. This year there is also a third scholarship that will be awarded, the Carlos Ripaldi Memorial Scholarship.

For art lovers across the region, it just isn’t summer without the Greeley Park Art Show. We welcome everyone to come spend a few hours enjoying the work of talented artists, participate in one the Nashua community’s landmark events.
